Triple Ring Technologies is an innovative technology and product development company serving the medtech and life science,
cleantech and industrial automation, and security and defense industries. We have successfully completed over 150 projects for
70 clients. Triple Ring has offices in Silicon Valley and Boston.
Our headquarters in Newark, CA is housed in a 64,000 sq. ft. facility that includes dedicated laboratories for electronics, optics,
radiation source development, and mechanical prototyping; a machine shop; client office space; and a pilot manufacturing facility.
We carry out end-to-end product development and offer a full range of technical and business services: we analyze and create intellectual
property; develop and implement technology strategy; design and develop engineering prototypes and released products; perform feasibility
studies and testing; conduct due diligence and situation analysis; and advise on regulatory compliance, business operations, and fund raising.
Triple Ring Technologies is ISO 13485 Certified and ITAR Registered.
Challenges
Managing the R&D process is no easy feat. Development projects are increasing in complexity. Medical technology is experiencing a growing trend towards a convergence of drugs and devices. Cleantech breakthroughs must leverage know-how in diverse areas from materials to power electronics, and security systems incorporate sophisticated hardware with cutting-edge statistical algorithms. At the same time, the requirement to be capital efficient is placing more stringent demands on development teams.
Not only is time to market a major concern, but the cost of interventions and rework rises dramatically when changes are implemented later in the development process. The more complex the system, the larger the number of alternatives to develop and evaluate.
It is expensive and time-consuming to build multi-disciplinary technical capability in-house that is capable of taking a project
through all stages of development. It typically is not feasible to outsource the less defined, but critical, early stages of projects
to engineering contractors.
