Triple Ring has designed a family of customizable data acquisition and image analysis modules that are available on an OEM basis or as part of an integrated system development project. These products can enable computationally intensive applications such as real-time image processing and network security with cost- and power-efficient hardware. Triple Ring is also a certified third-party applications developer for Nethra, Inc. products, including the Am2000 line of massively parallel processor arrays (MPPAs).

These components are compliant with the Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) standards and PCIe protocols, and can be coupled with off-the-shelf ATCA or µTCA shelves to rapidly create scalable computing platforms with TOps/sec computation speeds. Module 1:  ATCA Base-Fabric and PCIe Data-Fabric Hub

  • Supports up to 14 nodes in a dual-star or dual-dual star backplane

Module 2:  ATCA AMC Carrier with PCIe Data-Fabric Interface

  • Conventional bays support up to 4 compact/mid-sized AMC modules
  • Switched 4-lane Gen2 PCIe (16Gbps) connects AMCs to each other and to dual-star/dual-dual-star data-fabrics on backplane
  • Crosspoint-switched point-to-point network between AMCs and other shelf nodes using full-mesh data fabric on backplane
  • Configurable as timing source for ATCA clock busses
  • Local 1.3GHz PowerPC processor available for node and application control
  • Local FPGA available for custom logic and data processing
  • AMC and FPGA extensions to RTM

Module 3:  AMC Massively Parallel Processor Array (MPPA) with PCIE Data-Fabric Interface 

  • Single MPPA per module, comprising 336 processing elements and rated for 1.2 TOps/sec.
  • 4-lane Gen1 PCIe (8Gbps) to/from carrier data-plane interface
  • Local FPGA available for custom logic and data processing
  • 32 wire-pairs for LVDS GPIO to/from RTM via local FPGA
  • Local control processor to manage configuration/control and base-interface traffic
  • Compatible with PCIe-based µTCA shelves and ATCA AMC carrier
