MEET Jane Esterline
Jane is a mechanical engineer with a background in robotics and mechanical design. Her current projects feature mechanical design for microfluidics and mechanism reliability assessment. She has previously worked on low-cost biomimetic robots, studying robot locomotion phenomena involving passive gait development. She has also designed flexible robotic actuators composed of pneumatic artificial muscles and prototyped a novel ice-tunneling exploratory robot.
Jane received her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
