MEET Tim Sax
Senior Software Engineer
Tim Sax has over 11 years of software development experience, primarily on complex embedded systems, though he has also developed software for test automation for engineering and manufacturing. His specialties include software architecture definition, middleware, device drivers, multithreading, inter-process communication, distributed systems, databases, user interfaces, automation, and testing. He has worked with various microprocessors and bus protocols, developing software on bare metal, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems. The bulk of his experience is with video processing systems, though he has also worked on robotic medical devices. Tim has held senior engineering positions at Ekso Bionics and RGB Spectrum. He started his career at RGB Spectrum as a product verification engineer, and transitioned to embedded software engineering. He developed embedded software for multiple generations of RGB’s Video Wall Processors. At Ekso Bionics, Tim developed embedded software for robotic exoskeletons. Tim is currently working on embedded and application software for medical devices at Triple Ring.
Tim received his BS in Computer Engineering from California State University Sacramento and his MSE in Software Engineering from Arizona State University. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi.
