About the Seminar:
An overview of current fluoroscopy / angiography equipment and its use for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease. Examples of current lab configurations and there use as well as case presentation of common catheter based treatment procedures. There will be a discussion of current trends and potential future needs in the field of interventional catheterization.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Phillip Moore is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Director of the Congenital
Interventional Catheterization Program at UCSF, specializing in minimally invasive catheter treatment
of congenital heart disease in both children and adults. His current areas of research include the
development of intravascular suturing techniques, single ventricle interventional strategies, and
interventional MRI.
He is internationally known for his work on patent ductus arteriosus and atrial septal defect device
closure as well as the new field of
