Joanne Elliot, PhD

Joanne Elliott has academic and industry research experience focusing on cell and molecular biology in the areas of microbiology, virology, immunology and cancer biology.  At Triple Ring, Joanne contributes to cell-based assay design and implementation, medical device testing, bio-assay development and optimization, clinical sample processing and analysis. Recently, she successfully generated data for a client which contributed to the accelerated FDA approval of a novel therapeutic aimed at treating patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a chronic cholestatic liver disease where pruritus is a common and debilitating symptom.

Joanne holds a BSc in Genetics from Queen’s University Belfast, and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from University of Cambridge, UK and was awarded a Fellowship from the Health Research Board, Ireland. She has authored/co-authored 14 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
