MEET Alan Baldwin
Alan Baldwin has over ten years of experience designing and prototyping complex mechanical assemblies. He has deep experience in motion analysis, thermal and structural finite element analysis (FEA), and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). With an industry background in optics and optomechanics, Alan has designed and built highly integrated, miniaturized instruments for epifluorescence microscopy, photochemical illumination, flow cytometry, fiber optic amplification, and laser measurement. He also has experience with ruggedized electronics and electric motor design.
Alan holds BS (magna cum laude) and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
